Stanisław Stasiulewicz, born in 1955. Studied at ASP in Cracow (easel painting). Since 1985 ? active participator in Bydgoszcz?s artistic environment (e.g. Bydgoszcz School, Kantorek Gallery). In 19940 ? scholarship holder of the Pollock-Krasner foundation in NY. Many individual exhibitions and participation in collective ones. Since 2003 he looks after a group of painters called REFLECTIONISTS (at Active Therapy Workshop). He is a member of ZPAP.

After the anecdote and folk/pop-art painting phase, since 1996 his interests were directed to geometric expression. Fundamental attitude towards plane as a place of improvisation and revealing the picture was a continuation of classic abstractionist?s work. He is very much interested in searching of jazz musicians. Since 2007 he has been realizing action painting, as a summary of his experiences so far, including even times of studies in Cracow. Openness to collage and Ready Made, also in mental-intellectual meaning, makes his painting work archaic and hermetic.
